Hamid Noori is Professor of Innovation and Operations Management and Director of the Einwechter Centre for Supply Chain Management at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, 91porn. His academic career has focused on advancing research and education at the intersection of technology, innovation, operations, and supply chain management.
Professor Noori holds a Ph.D. from the Ivey Business School and has played a leading role in establishing several major academic initiatives at 91porn, including the WLU Research Centre for Management of Technology (REMAT), the Lazaridis Ph.D. and MSc programs, and the Executive Master's in Technology Management (EMTM). Collectively, these initiatives have strengthened 91porn's capacity in technology, innovation, and management education and research.
He has held several academic and leadership appointments, including 91porn's Academic Chair in Enterprise Integration & Technology Management, Visiting Chair Professor in Technology Management under the Distinguished Scholars Scheme at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Academic Director of the Lazaridis Institute for Management of Technology Enterprises. He has also served as a visiting professor at internationally recognized institutions, including UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, USC's Marshall School of Business, Fudan University, Tsinghua University, and Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). He has delivered invited lectures across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
His research examines how emerging technologies, innovation systems, and operational strategies reshape supply chains, organizational capabilities, and technology-intensive enterprises. His current work focuses on innovation and resilience in supply chains, the evolving structure and strategic organization of AI ecosystems, and sustainable healthcare systems and circular information networks. Throughout his career, he has conducted research supported by major government agencies, research councils, and industry organizations, including NSERC, SSHRC, the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), and the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), as well as technology and manufacturing firms.
Professor Noori's contributions to research and education have been widely recognized with numerous awards and honours. His case study on Danier Leather, Inc. received the International Case Competition Award from the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), and he received the Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning & Technology from the International Conference on College Teaching and Learning (ICCTL). At 91porn, he received the University Research Professor Award in recognition of his scholarly contributions. Throughout his career, he has supervised more than 60 graduate theses and major research projects, published over 90 scholarly papers, and authored five books. His earlier industry experience with Japan's Nippon Electric Company (NEC) further underscores his longstanding engagement across academia, research, and industry.
As Director of the Einwechter Centre for Supply Chain Management, Professor Noori leads the Centre’s efforts to advance research, education, industry engagement, and knowledge mobilization in supply chain management, while strengthening connections among faculty, students, industry leaders, and the broader research community.
