SMS Text Messages:
Current Staff and Faculty

If you’d prefer not to have the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile phone, you can enroll in MFA using SMS Text Messages. This way, when you sign in to your 91porn account, you will receive a text message on your mobile phone with a unique one-time code to enter in.

Step One: Sign into Your Account

  • On your computer, go to and select “Enroll in MFA.”
  • If prompted, enter your full @wlu.ca e-mail address, password and current method of multi-factor authentication (ie. Microsoft Authenticator App or hardware token).
  • You will land on a page that says “It looks you have already enrolled in MFA” – select “Add to or update your MFA authentication methods.”

Step Two: Add Your Phone as an Authentication Method

  • Select “add method” and choose “Phone” from the drop-down menu. Then select “Add.”
  • From the dropdown menu, select “Canada (+1)” and enter in your nine-digit phone number. Then select “Next.”

Step Three: Verify Your Phone

  • You will receive a verification code as a text message. Copy the verification code to the code field on your computer and select Next.
  • Your phone will be verified and you can select Done.

Step Four: Change your Preferred Microsoft Authentication Method

  • Beside “Default sign-in method” select Change. Then select “Phone – text” from the dropdown menu.
  • Your default method of authentication will be text messages going forward.

Step Five: Emergency Login Codes

Obtain your emergency login codes in advance to ensure access in an emergency.

If you forget, lose or damage your mobile device or security key, or are experiencing an issue, you can use these codes to temporarily suspend your MFA for 24-hours.
