Unlock the power of seamless data transfer between QGIS, Illustrator, and CAD with this course. Learn the intricacies of exporting files from QGIS to Illustrator and CAD platforms like AutoCAD, ensuring a flawless transition while maintaining accurate georeferencing.
Dive into practical applications, including importing CAD files into GIS for detailed plans and subdivisions. In this course you learn how to use GIS software as a centralized aggregator, harmonizing diverse data formats and sources for effective spatial searchers, analysis and visualization.
Course is based on QGIS and all material is easily adaptable to other GIS platforms such as ArcGIS pro.
Designed for
Town planners, strategic planners and all other planning professionals that need to import and export GIS layers to be used with Illustrator and CAD software.
Learning outcomes
By the course's conclusion, participants will have mastered integrating CAD drawings of any scale into GIS, ensuring precise georeferencing and spatial accuracy. They will gain proficiency in combining CAD subdivision plans, detailed drawing and any other CAD information with GIS layers, enhancing their ability to analyse and visualize design data in a spatial context.
Additionally, participants will learn a streamlined workflow for exporting GIS layers into Illustrator, enabling them to maintain data accuracy and spatial relationships. The course emphasizes the creation of editable workflows in Illustrator, allowing for easy edits and additions to GIS layers, while also providing techniques to incorporate further layers as project requirements evolve.
In summary, participants will leave with the skills needed to seamlessly integrate GIS, CAD, and design software, empowering them to create sophisticated maps and visualizations efficiently.
