Gain valuable insight into how the Tribunal is currently dealing with the matters that come before it, and collaborate with your colleagues on the finer points of interpretation in the Territory’s planning laws.
Meet our presenters:
Alisa Taylor
Litigation and Employment partner | Board member | Lecturer
As a Partner at MV Law, I represent individuals and business of all sizes in a broad range of disputes and know the importance of keeping a deal or project viable, whilst also preserving reputation and relationships with stakeholders.
Although I am experienced working across all areas of commercial litigation, I am passionate about buildings and architecture and have developed specialist expertise in relation to construction and property law. I have a Masters in Construction Law and am a board member of the Master Builders’ Association (ACT) and chair of its Professional Sector Council. I also lecturer on Construction Law at the University of Canberra and am involved with many other industry organisations.
I have helped property developers, builders, architects, town planners, engineers and industry consultants navigate complex disputes ranging from disputes with local government about planning approvals and property taxes, breach of development agreements and building contracts, insurance issues, shareholder disagreements and debt recovery. I also frequently represent home owners in residential building matters, focusing on strategic advice that aims to get them living in their property as quickly as possible while protecting their rights to pursue any necessary claims.
